Rant
Julian Cash's striking photographs encourage the observer to sit and stare for awhile. Whether it is the CTO of MicroSoft or a war protestor on the streets of San Francisco, we are given a glimpse into the soul of every subject. Exposing unique and intimate details in his portraits, Cash encourages us to flaunt our individuality and have fun with it. Cooly aware of the impact of his work, he explains, "Through my photography I aim to show people who are improving the world by expressing themselves. By their example I hope we will all share more of ourselves." He regularly shoots his signature white background portraits at the Burning Man Festival, the Open Source computer convention, San Francisco's annual Dyke March, and Dada Festivals - events he says, "that are creating and seeding the most vibrant and creative parts of our culture. As multifaceted as he is talented, Cash is also a professional cartoonist, illustrator, and computer programmer. Go to www.JulianCash.com for more of the art of Julian Cash. |
